Virginia Tech Museum of Geosciences Fossil Distribution

I took GEOS 4894: Natural History Collections and Curation my final semester at Virginia Tech. We were given a semester-long project with one main criteria: something that would help the Museum of Geosciences in Derring Hall. I chose to map the museum's collection of fossils using ArcOnline and ArcGIS Pro. This project has the potential to become a spatial database for fossil collections, or simply something fun for museum visitors to look at. Fossils range from local Blacksburg to Europe, Africa, and more.
